A high-performance microphone tuned to capture low-end punch. The PG56’s tailored frequency response is smooth and extended, tuned specifically for tome and snare drum applications. The cardioid polar pattern picks up the most sound from in front of the microphone and some sound from the sides. It is less susceptible to feedback in high volume settings than many other mics.
Dynamic cartridge has a simple, rugged coil that handles extreme volume levels without distortion. Cartridge includes a neodymium magnet for high output level and an internal shock mount for reduced handling noise. The mic is of durable metal construction with a hardened steel mesh tapered grille that resists wear and abuse. It includes an integral stand mount, an A50D drum mount, a 15ft. (4.57m) cable and a storage bag.
